Details of the project (pictured above)
Worship Square raises the bar for the planet with XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel. Developer, HB Reavis, describes Worship Square as more of a living system than a building – with people, planet and business at its heart. It raises the bar in creating an altogether better place to work.
What did we contribute to?
ArcelorMittal Distribution Solutions UK delivered 850 tonnes of XCarb® recycled and renewably produced and Histar® 460 rolled sections. Detailed discussions were held between the client – who is also the project engineer, the steelwork fabricator and AMDS to determine the benefits of incorporating XCarb® and S460 materials into the design.
Fabricated by BHC, the structural frame offers embodied carbon savings through lighter sections using high grade Histar® 460 and XCarb® recycled and renewably produced rolled sections at 333 kgCO2 e/t.
It is planned for completion in 2024.

Details of the project:
One Keskidee Square ia an 11-Storey mixed use building with a stepped roof which will offer approximately 26000 square metres of Grade A office space
The building sits above two Thameslink rail tunnels so careful consideration had to go into the foundational structure and weight of the frame . Temporary supports were also incorporated allowing steelwork erection out of the conventional order
What did we contribute to?
Our customer Elland Steel negated the use of Plate Girders , instead re-designing to use Beams drilled with holes. These were supplied by ArcelorMittal Scunthorpe as part of a 2500 tonne steel package .
A combination of active and passive measures resulted in a highly sustainable building with a BREEAM "Excellent" rating and the development is due to complete in Summer 2023

Details of the project:
BAM were awarded this contract to transform an underutilised 1.2 acre industrial estate into a high spec campus. The main building is a 7 storey development offering modern office spaces and shops.
What did we contribute to?
Elland Steel were chosen to deliver the full 2000 tonne structural package for this building and ArcelorMittal Scunthorpe again supplied the structural sections
Due for completion in 2024 the development offering 250,000 square ft has already achieved a BREAM excellent RATING and the design of the fully electric building exceeds the London plan for renewable energy and reduction of Carbon emissions
